Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Amantani Island Homestay

We will start the day with an early pickup from your Puno hotel around 8:00 A.M. The morning air will feel crisp and refreshing. We will drive to the dock and board our motorized boat for a scenic ride across Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,812 meters above sea level.

Our first stop will be the Uros Floating Islands, just 30 minutes from Puno. We will step onto the totora reed islands and meet the friendly Uros people. They will show us how they construct homes, boats, and islands entirely from reeds. Photography lovers will enjoy capturing the vibrant colors and unique textures of the floating islands.

Next, we will navigate further to Amantani Island, approximately a two-hour boat ride. Local families will welcome us to their homestays. We will enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by our hosts and learn about their culture and daily life. In the late afternoon, we will hike to Pachatata and Pachamama viewpoints to enjoy panoramic sunset views over Lake Titicaca.

Afterwards, we will return to our homestay for dinner and a cultural evening. Dressed in traditional clothing, we will watch Andean folkloric performances and even try local dances. The night will be peaceful, with clear skies and quiet lakeside surroundings.
