Reservation Policy

This Reservation Policy establishes the terms and conditions applicable to all bookings made with Lake Titicaca S.A.C. (hereinafter, “the Company”). By making a reservation, the Client agrees to the following conditions.
1. RESERVATION CONFIRMATION
All reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment, as applicable.
- A 30% deposit of the total tour cost is required to confirm any reservation.
- Once the deposit is received, the reservation will be considered confirmed and secured.
2. PAYMENT TERMS
- Remaining balance: The remaining 70% must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the tour start date.
- Last-minute reservations: Bookings made less than 7 days before the start of the tour require full payment (100%) at the time of booking.
- Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, mobile payments, credit/debit card (when available), or cash (subject to prior coordination).
Failure to complete payment within the established deadlines may result in the automatic cancellation of the reservation without refund of the deposit.
3. REQUIRED INFORMATION
To process reservations and issue tickets or permits, the Client must provide accurate and complete personal information, including:
- Full name (as shown on passport or ID)
- Passport or identification number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
The Company is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Client.
4. SPECIAL SERVICES AND REQUESTS
Special requests such as dietary requirements, medical conditions, accessibility needs, or customized services must be communicated at the time of booking.
While Lake Titicaca will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such requests, fulfillment is subject to availability and third-party providers.
5. NON-TRANSFERABILITY
Reservations are personal and non-transferable. Changes to the participant’s name or identity may be subject to additional fees or may not be permitted, depending on the policies of service providers and government authorities.
6. CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS
Any request to modify a confirmed reservation (dates, itinerary, services, or participants) must be submitted in writing.
- Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
- Certain services, such as train tickets, Machu Picchu permits, or restricted attractions, may not allow modifications once issued.
7. NO-SHOW POLICY
Failure to appear at the designated meeting point, time, or departure location will be considered a no-show and will result in 100% charge, with no refund.
8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Some services included in your reservation (transportation, accommodation, train tickets, entrance fees) are operated by third-party providers and are subject to their own terms and conditions.
Lake Titicaca acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for changes, delays, or cancellations caused by third parties.
9. ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
By making a reservation with Lake Titicaca S.A.C., the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this Reservation Policy, as well as the Company’s Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy.
