Cancellations Policy

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms applicable to cancellations, changes, and refunds for services booked with Lake Titicaca S.A.C. (hereinafter, “the Company”).
By confirming a reservation, the Client agrees to the following conditions.
1. CANCELLATIONS BY THE CLIENT
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or official communication channels.
Refund Policy:
- More than 30 days before the tour start date:
Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee and any non-refundable costs incurred (such as entrance tickets, permits, or train tickets). - 15 to 30 days before the tour start date:
50% refund of the total tour cost. - Less than 15 days before the tour start date or no-show:
No refund (100% cancellation penalty).
2. NON-REFUNDABLE SERVICES
Please note that certain services are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the cancellation date, including but not limited to:
- Machu Picchu entrance tickets
- Inca Trail permits
- Train tickets
- Restricted-access attractions
These policies are governed by Peruvian government authorities and third-party service providers.
3. CANCELLATIONS BY LAKE TITICACA
Lake Titicaca S.A.C. reserves the right to modify or cancel services due to force majeure, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Social unrest or strikes
- Road closures
- Government regulations
In such cases, the Client will be offered either:
- A rescheduled date, or
- A full refund of amounts paid (excluding non-refundable third-party costs, if applicable).
4. CHANGES TO CONFIRMED BOOKINGS
Requests to change dates, itineraries, or services are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
Any changes requested less than 15 days before the tour start date may be treated as a cancellation, depending on the services involved.
5. NO-SHOW POLICY
Failure to appear at the agreed meeting point, date, or time will be considered a no-show and will result in a 100% charge, with no right to refund.
6. REFUND PROCESSING
- Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
- Refund processing times may vary depending on banks or payment providers but typically take 15 to 30 business days.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
By booking any service with Lake Titicaca S.A.C., the Client confirms acceptance of this Cancellation Policy, along with the Reservation Policy and Terms and Conditions.
